Ok so i know i havent blogged in a while, just really havent been in the mood, but i knew i needed to post after today. Well today i got my first fill!!!YEAH!!! It took all of 2 minutes and wasw TOTALLY pain free! I stood in front of the xray machine and he made me drink the white chalky stuff to ensure that everything was in place. Next he used a needle to numb the area(it felt like a small mosquito bite) and 2 seconds later he inserted the needle to do the fill. He added some saline, had me drink, added some more and I drank again. He pulled the needle out(all i felt was pressure and i REFUSED to look at that needle in my stomach) and put on a bandaid. wham bam..done!!

WOW!!! i'm so glad that was pain free. Now i'm back on liquids for 2 days! BOOOO!!! but if i could survive 2 weeks on liquids surely i can do 2 days! so i have to make sure to eat some chicken before tues when i call back to let them know if everything is goin down and if i'm still hungry. If so I have to go back before 2 weeks to get it adjusted. I'm soooooooooooooo excited that I finally got a fill. I was told to really pay attention to my body these next 2 weeks so i will know what "full" feels like to me.

I'M ON MY WAY!

Oh yeah i gained 2 pounds since i started mushies 3 weeks ago, but i'm not even concerned now that i know that is normal.

I went to the gym again today and did an hour of cardio. I AM STILL PETRIFIED TO DO ANY AB WORK!!! I've been released to work with my trainer again.

Was anyone else afraid to do ab work or am I being a big baby? LOL

Wasn't it an amazing feeling that the fill ended up being practically painless? The two days on liquid weren't really bad at all. I only had full liquids the first day and mushies the second day, so the time actually flew by.

I haven't done any specific ab work either, I have only worked my core when I've done other exercises. I can't wait to do a full fledged workout again. My PA told me that I had to wait another 2-4 weeks before I can really begin working out hard core like I want to...

Congratulations on your first fill! Now the hourney really begins, I thought I felt restriction before my fill, but after the fill it was really different. Remember to chew, chew, and chew your food. I highly recommend the two days of liquids after a fill, you can eat but you have an increased risk of getting stuck and remember musheys have more calories. Drink your protein drinks and lots of liquids. The reason for the liquids for 48 hours is tightening the band is irritating to our stomach, causes a little swelling and it takes about 48 hours for that to go back to normal. Good Luck, look forward to reading about your success.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
