Sooooo slow

This process seems to be soooo slow. I had to cancel my doctor's appointment yesterday because of all the snow we got here. I can't go in until a week from Thursday and know I need a little something in my band. I can eat more and I"m not thinking I like it very much. Everything seems to go down with ease. And, on top of that, it takes more to make me feel full. Also, I don't like feeling hungry after a couple of hours. Grrrrrrr! I have lost a whole pound in 8 days. I am down about 33 pounds total. About 15 of that after I got banded. I feel good about the weight I have lost so far, but also look at crazy envy at those banded around the time I was who have lost 50 or 60 pounds. Eeeek!

It's time to kick up the exercise in high gear while I wait, I guess. Does anyone have any good items to soothe your sweet tooth? I can't do any jello or sugar free bars for a long time. If you have any suggestions of something to curb it, while tasting sinful (yet lower in calories), please let me know. I usually do pretty well, but today I have a crazy ice cream craving and can't seem to overcome it :-( What's funny, I'm not really even an ice cream person!

Thank you if you are still reading me spew negativity. I am just having one of those days :-(

This whole food thing is a "head" thing. I crave things I don't really like either. I am not an icecream person, but I crave it sometimes. I think that because I can't graze all day, I want to even more. However, I just had my 2nd fill and I am staying full a little longer. I think I will need a couple more for it to do what I need it to do. My surgeon says I am not to worry and that this takes time. My husband bought me "Dance 2" for the WII and it is a lot of fun. I have been doing that every day except for the weekends, unless we don't run around the whole weekend. I enjoy it very much. I just hope it doesn't get boring. I also have WII fit which I haven't used since before my surgery. I must get that out again so I have a variety of things to do. I only lost 18 pounds and that includes the pre stuff before surgery. I was very upset that I didnt lose more. However, during the holidays, I didn't gain either so I am going to focus on that positive. We all have negative days, so don't feel bad.

Yes, tomorrow is a new day to climb back on the positive train. I think after one more fill, I will be good. I, too, have Just Dance and LOVE it. I need to get back to doing that nightly. Thank you for the supportive words!

It seems that when I get the amount of protein I'm supposed to have and drink a lot of water I don't crave sweets as much.

That's a good idea... I have slacked a little on my shake routine. I will HAVE to start adding those in more.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
