Is there a bandster out there who can eat whatever they want just smaller portions? Other than bread, are there other foods that dont seem to work with the band. I get my first fill in 4 weeks. Right now Im starving and I can eat anything so Im just wondering if that will change.

I had a really hard time with chicken for awhile which is unusual. I learned to shred it and it got better. Rice -- I don't ever think I'll be able to eat rice again. But everybody is different. Bread only works toasted. These foods would literally get stuck which is why my brain won't let me eat them. I don't like the stuck feeling very much. Good luck!

Hi Kelly! I was banded 7/27 and after I worked back to food I am happy to say I haven't found any food that disagrees with me. I chew very well and eat slowly. One time in a meeting I ate faster than I should have and paid for it with stomach pain from lunch til the next morning... lesson learned. I do eat toast and have been able to eat untoasted bread but don't push it too much with any bread that is thick. Chew extra well and eat slowly and hopefully you won't find any issues!

I have only been banded for 6 weeks. I had my first fill last week. Before my first fill I was starving and could eat everything. I noticed with my first fill I am filling up easier. I can eat everything. Except rice..

I can not eat chicken, beef, and some viggies no matter how I cook it, but I can eat rice. But it's so true we are all different.

I was banded on 7/28, and I have not found anything that I can't eat. However, I do chew, chew, chew! I have had bread get stuck when I ate too fast. I learned the hard way to chew with bread. It is different with all of us. Good luck with your journey!

I can eat everything. I was banded the 20th of July and have had 5 fills. I do struggle with chicken that is microwaved. I am fine with freshly cooked chicken, or cold chicken. If I microwave the leftovers it's when I stick. I find this to be true with any meat that gets even slightly dry from rewarming it.

I do tend to toast my 1/2 bagel thin. Haven't tried any other breads since I started my fills.
