i'm not loosing any more weight

hey everyone,

 

i had surgery about a year ago and it's getting harder and harder to loose weight. I feel i could each much more than before and getting adjustments is not working as they did at the beginning. Does anyone have any advise for me? I have lost a total of 90lbs but would like to loose about 20lbs more to begin fertility treatment.

I'm no where close to where you are, but I'm stuck for weight loss right now. I researched plateaus on this site and how to overcome them and I think exercise seems to be the key if the fills aren't the ticket. Maybe add a day of exercise? That would be my recommendation.......

Hello salma. It will be 1 year next month for me Oct 26th, I have lost 113 pounds. The big key is exercise for a few resons. 1. It helps to keep your body tone while losing weight. 2. With the lap Band you lose more weight faster by working out. I work out every day for 40 mins a day 20 mins in the morning and 20 mins in the evening that's all, and I do it all at home. 3rd. you feel so much better after a good work out and it keeps you motivated.. But yes there is a plateau that you will reach. Then one day you will get on the scale and see you have lost a few more pounds... I have only 15 more pounds to go to reach my goal but it's coming off slower now... But still moving. So I would say work out alot more it should help.. GOOD LUCK!!!

There is really nothing nire I can add to Sandra and Debra's responses. Exercise is the key. Perhaps you should keep a food log - perhaps you are eating more than you think you are and maybe not the best foods? You are doing really well. Don't give up, the weight will come off.

If all fails then go back to basics.....1st step liquids. 2nd step puree foods...3rd step soft foods. You definately can loose wth steps 1 & 2. Good Luck!

I had surgery Aug.3 this year. By my first fill on Sept.9., I had lost 24lbs. I was told by my dr. that I should loose 15lbs more by Nov.11, when my next fill/adjustment is due. I am have lost only 10lbs and have been stuck with the same weight for a while. I do 2.4 to 3mls twice a week on the treadmill at the gym and try to walk other days during the week. Any idea why I am not loosing?
