Does being thinner make you look older?

:confused:As I move closer to my goal it all feels a little unreal. When I started my journey a year ago in May My goal was to weigh 155. I was 164.5 this morning. Last week my boss told me I was looking too skinny and I needed to start eating. Me? Need to eat? Is this a joke? Then over the weekend I had a friend tell me I looked "older" with out all the fat. Now I realize the fat did help fill out all the wrinkles but I wasnt real happy with that comment. I wouldnt go back. Wouldnt change it for nothing. In all fairness this man is a big jokester and picks on every one. He is also 515 pounds. I tried not to get my feelings hurt and just take it as a joke but I do see much more age on my face now. Honestly it is still worth it. I am more heathy now than I have been in 15 years. If I never lost anoher pound I think I would be okay. I am happy to b 93 down and still love my band. God bless to every one!!

I am 46 and everyone says I look in my thirties. I do not have any wrinkles. However, I weigh 238 this am. Down 8 since the band...yeah! I know that I will look older when I lose weight. Round and no wrinkles or small with some lines. Heart healthy as can be...where is the botox? HA HA HA....

R U kidding? Who cares what anyone has to say, especially someone who is probably jealous of your weight loss or just to stupid to keep his mouth shut. You keep getting thinner, feeling healthier and do this for you. Not for anyone else. You know how good you are feeling about yourself. You certainly don't need the negativity in your life. When we are heavier than most, we get enough of that. This is for you - don't care what anyone says.

There are always going to be haters out there Know matter how one looks. Try a new hair style, do more facial, facial will help with the pores to add more oil to your skin for more of a glow and it will help with the dryness also. And also there is always a womens friends "botox". I say this BAH HUMBUG TO THE NEYSAYERS. All the best to you...

P.S

I think going tinner looks younger. The more weight we have the older we look..

Keep the focus on yourself! YOU LOOK AMAZING ;-) I know cuz I too have lost that much and why people feel they need to say things to us is beyond our control. The only thing we can control is ourselves. DO NOT let comments enter and stay too long, let them exit and with the fresh breathe feel you are the winner here and you have chosen HEALTHY most of all. You have also added 10 or more years to your life and you are living. At over five hundred pound this person is not living!!! YOU ARE so get out there and enjoy it. Best Wishes imaluckdog

Thanks guys I was just feeling a little pouty. I do see more sagging skin now with 94ish pounds loss especially in my arms but I feel better than I have in years. I wouldnt trade it for nothing. Wouldnt go back either. Thanks for the encouragement. I am around ten pounds away from goal. Cant beleive it!

This is such a good question!!!! If only it were easy to do... really nOt care what other people think. But in reality we all do to some degree.

My mom told me she saw someone she hadn't seen in a while. The lady told her she lost a lot of weight really fast... hence my moms reaction was she looked amazing just older. My mom's never been heavy in her life and looks way younger than her age so she has absolutely no reason to hate on anyone!! She actually is loving my progress and appearance and gives me praises all of the time.

I think there has a lot to be said about how quickly you lose the weight, to how healthy was your eating and work out regimen during your weight loss, to heck do you wash your face before going to bed even. There are a ton of skinny people who eat a poor diet, don't work out, or keep good hygiene. lol So why would it be any different for us just cause we lost weight?!

Yeah, the sagging skin I get that part. But there are skinny "fat" people too that I wouldn't want to in a bikini either!! lol Keep up the good work and don't let those remarks keep you from reaching your goal. You see yourself everyday in the mirror, that's the only person you need to care about!! ;o)

P.S. I'll be rocking at fabulous and 40 next month!! Whoot Whoot! LOL
