I have to say, this journey is getting better each day. The first week out, I was having a little 'buyers remorse' and didn't ever think I would feel 'good' again.....I was wrong.

We had mexican food for lunch...I had refried beans with a little cheese a side of guacamole and some enchilada sauce....delish! This is the first time in a month I had mexican food.

We had a pot luck at my Mom & Dad's...I had some home made mac & cheese (blended)...again, it tasted divine!

o.k., enough with the food!

I'm able to sleep on both my sides with very little to no pain at all! I think this week I will try to sleep on my tummy again....we'll see how that goes.

I'm going to give you some real good advice.....Before surgery Im pretty sure you were eating whatever you want....Now that you had surgery you have to talk real baby steps....Mac&chesee, personally is a nono...It's hght an calories and the mac it's self when entering the body turns in sugar...(anything white such as flour, spaghetti for now I say wait a few more months before introducing it to the new you. I'm pretty sure you may have gotten a little nausa from some of the foods you have eaten.....If you want to loose 1 or2 pounds a week....Stick with protein mainly and low-fat or no fat foods..... Good luck girl!

Thanks for the advice blossoming. After being on liquids only for the past 4 weeks....I guess I just got a little too excited. I just figured that since I'm only eating about 2-3 oz....a little mac and cheese would be o.k. And no, so far no nausea! Could you give me some suggestions as what I should be introducing into my 'new' mushie diet? Thanks :)

If you are a real foodie like me I know it's so heard, as it is for so many of us. And when you where able to eat again, you just where so happy and that's when you made some bad food chooses. Now this is where you have to do so heard work, the lap band is only a tool, like any tool we have to learn how you work the tool. So take it very slow in time you will be able to eat so much more maybe not what you use to, but so many diffrent things are out there for you to eat. The key is making heatly chooses. Stay away from high sodium foods. I have a blog that may help you, it has food tips, workout tip, and so much more. Am a cook and I had to fine away to enjoy cooking again so I could eat and still have somthing yummy. Best of luck to you, your new life is here. Check out my blog hope it will help you..

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
