Finally Banded!

So I finally went through the banding process... and it was not as bad as I thought. The worst part was waiting in the hospital until it was your turn to be called in for surgery. My surgeon, Adam came in and after seeing him there... I felt better about the whole thing. Its been 5 days since my surgery and I cant wait for my follow-up to get me on the right level. I still feel some pain but its not as bad of a pain as I originally thought it would be. The worst part is not being able to do anything except for lay around and walk when I have the energy to. I need to get the next phase where I can go back to eating solids becuase I am already sick of these protein drinks, water and popsicles.

Hope all those recently banded are doing well, and those in line to be banded, it will be well worth it because the thought of a new life is ahead of you.

:thumbup:I am 10 days post-op and feeling well. Lost 15lbs so far. I too hate the liquid, popsicles, broth, etc. but it is not that long before we can have real food. I enter the 3rd week on Thursday and I am allowed pureed food. How digusting does that sound? I told my doc that I could not do that and he said just stick with the full liquids until the end of week four when I can introduce soft foods. Yea, real food.
