last night I cooked a turkey medallion, one of those you get from Sam's Club, I have not had any issues before with them, so I was quiet surprised when I got stuck almost at the end of my meal. Guess a took a bite without chewing it the way I know I need to chew or it just went down the wrong way. I was not too bad at first but it just kept getting worst. It took over two hours of slimming and puking before I got any relief. You know it ti bad when you are so stuck you drink water just to try to get it up, since as soon as water went down, it came right back up. I was so exhausted when after two hours it went down, that I had to go to bed. While it was going on I walked and did anything I could think of short of calling a plumber to snake it out. NOT MUCH FUN AT ALL. today I ate another one with out an issue. It is so odd that what you can eat one day you can't the next and vice versa. But even with all that I would not trade my band for anything. This morning I was down another two inches in the waist. I am now in a size 40, begin with a 46 that was tight. I have cleaned out my closet, as soon as they fit the other size is out of the closet never to return. I did this with a big smile on my face.

Great job on you weight loss. I too have been tossing all those BIG clothes and swearing that that size will never enter into my house again!

Oh I totally know what you mean.

One day I was on the road, in a rush and late for an appointment and hadn't eaten.

Stopped at a fast food joint and thought "I can do this, I'll be ok".

Well no sooner had I had two big bite of a hamberger (ya I know--that was stupid) I was stuck.

I tried everying, hitting my chest, sipping some water, trying to burp--NOTHING HELPED.

I was choking now from all the saliva that was in my throat that had no where to go.

I pulled over to the side of the road, told the kids to just stay in the car and that I would be ok.

I was there for at least 5 min. vomiting. I was so scarred and once I got back into the car my kids were too. They knew about my band but had no idea that this could happen.

I threw up so hard that my chest hurt for a few days afterwards.

Keep up the good work!

m:)

was it painful? when were you banded, and how much have you lost? glad you're feeling better. I haven't been banded yet, and that sounds scary

Greg I know exacatly how you feel I have been stuck so many times. It usually happens when I eat too fast. I hate that feeling, it hurts.

Oh I forgot to add that I have went down 2 sizes and have packed them up to giveaway. I started in an 18 and I can wear most 14's now. It feels so good!!

Greg...do you have the Papaya enzyme tablets? I dont leave home without them! After my first incident involving a half a banana where i was in agony for one hour, finally yakked, and was still in some pain for another hour...and yes, after that I went to bed! I have gotten instant relief in chewing three of those tablets on several occasions where I think I just forgot to chew enough...I actually have them in a keychain pill holder on my keys!!

Walmart, Walgreens etc. You know how the supplements are alphabetical...well its in there near the bottom after omega-3 and before saw palmetto or whatever! They are kind of delicious and remind me of the baby aspirin my sister and I used to snack on out of the medicine cabinet!LOL!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
