Good post! I feel the same way about the restriction...I don't know if I'm to tight or not... I've had two fills already and this last one the doc put in a lot more...and at first nothing would stay down, and I was def. eating the wrong foods. I know I'm not sticking with the program here... and I really need to get back in the game. But now some foods stay down, and it's really hard for me to eat in front of other people b/c I'm scared its gonna come back up and I'll have to run to the bathroom in front of everyone...which happened when I was on a date last weekend...I was so embarrassed. I am really confused with what things I should eat... and having a really hard time sticking to eating the right things when nearly everything comes back up and it hurts at times. Maybe I need an "unfill" but I'm scared that I wont feel any restriction.... ugh. this is so hard.

thanks for listening

Thanks for the tips. Have a great graduation week end. Getting away is so much fun. We all can't wait to hear how you made out. Keep it simple the food and enjoy all the people. I am still practicing all that I have learned. Thanks so much for sharing you are so honest. You are a gift to me. Kathy imaluckydog

I read your blog entry today. very interesting thoughts about restriction. I too have had a real problem with this. Waiting for some big sign that it is there and then being told that is not what I should look for. Well, you have read my blog so you know this. I sure hope you get a handle on it way before you are a year out of this like I am. It is a tricky, tricky thing I guess. I wonder why many of these people just "have it" with the restriction and I can't figure it out! Just a thick skull I guess! Anyway, best of luck on your trip -- or maybe it is over, hope it went well. Your thoughts are helpful and fun to read. Thanks! What you are writing and thinking is what many of us out here are thinking too. Help us sort it out too!

I had my surgery one month ago. I still have the same cravings for food, nothing bothers me - I can eat anything. I never ever feel full. I called my doctor and was told that there would be no fills until at least three months and that this is common. I wish I knew this was common. I thought that I would feel full....I do not.

What are some suggestions - chewing very slowly?

Protein, protein, protein. that's what keeps me sane, that and being busy and exercising. Why do you have to wait three months for a fill. This is so odd. I quess every bariatric program and every surgeon has there own theory as to how all this works. Some bandster have already had a fill and looking for a second one at two months post-op. Very confusing. Hang in there. BTW: My above theory is a good one but I have to confess that I fall off the wagon on a regular basis, feel like a failure, have no restriction as yet and try to separate what is stomach hunger from head hunger. Hang in there !!

BG- I know I've been away from the blogs for a while. I still check in with my forums everyday. I hear you talking about knowing what it is like to PB and I just feel like a proud momma. You are growing up so fast.

I'll try to keep in touch. How much have you lost so far in what amount of time?
