Week 27

I have reached the half way mark to my 1 year and can't believe how much my body and mind have changed. I am so thankful to the doctors for all agreeing that I could have the sleeve done and making it happen s quickly. I never thought I would be losing weight or that I would be healthy again. Thank God for answering prayers. Not only is my body changing but so is my outlook on life,   This weekend out wasn't to bad I only gained a pound and stayed the same on inches, it was all the fast food and the high levels of sodium, so back on track and now. I will have to cut the sodium and really watch the calories for the next week.   This weekend was a blast saw so many people and met some new people. Tia bowled awesome and even won some money on brackets. We had the best time.   Step by Step Day by Day with Jesus is what I pray today.

Week 23

This week has been very mild for me. I had to go in to the hospital on Tuesday with chest pains but all was ok they said. See heart doctor on Friday to find out what is going on. I haven't lost or gained weight or inches this week but I know as soon as I can go work out again it will all change. Life is strange, I think it knows when to make us rest and when to make us get up and go. This is a rest week for me.

Week 24

It has been 24 weeks since my surgery, there are times when it feels like forever and times it feels like yesterday.   I am still losing but unable to exercise much due to heart doctor. He has put me back on all my medication again and it is taking it's toll. I really wish I didn't have to take it. It makes me feel like crap, I guess I will have to deal with it and overcome it's effects. That averages about 3.5lbs a week not to bad I .guess. Wishing it was a bit more but slow is good.   Blogging weekly is harder then I thought

1 Month Post-Op

Today marks 1 month to date Dec 12 - Jan 12, and I have lost 43lbs(337/298) and 9.75 inches.   The last time I took any of my daily medicine (10 pills and 1 shot) was the day before surgery. The purple pill included (Nexium).   I love reading what everyone else is going through because it does help me and some of it I can relate to. Thank you all for your important input sincerely.       I am so thankful for all of you and your comments on this site. May God keep and bless you on your path to weight loss.   Char

Day 5

I had my gastric sleeve surgery on Monday December 12, 2011, that was a day in it's self. I am bi-polar and had not had any medications for 2 days before going to hospital. I was not a nice person at all even had a fight with my husband making him leave before I went under and then I didn't even see him after the surgery.   I am doing some what better still have no medication as they won't let me take pills yet, but am trying to work through it.   I did good in the hospital walking but now that I'm home it is much harder with the cold to get out and walk so I try to get as much as I can inside LOL   I have been using the season packs from Top Roman to make my meals some of them are good and some just bite. I feel like I can't get enough to drink so I have filled a 1 liter bottle with tea and lemon in hopes that I can drink it all today. The gas is unreal and have not had a BM since before surgery. I am not sure what else to take or do I have used a few different softeners and nothing is helping. Truly believe it is all about the fluid intake.   Hydrating is the name of the day for me, try to see how much I can get down without it coming up.   My bruises are looking better, the big one has spread way out and is now changing colors thank goodness. All the sites itch but that means they are healing which is a good thing. When I woke from surgery I looked as if I had been beat puffy face fat lip and all the bruising, face and lip went back to normal by day 3 was very happy.   Update appointment to check wounds is December 20 in Las Vegas Tuesday hope there will be good news.   I believe that I have taken the right steps in having the gastric sleeve surgery for my health. Starting weight was 337 heaviest was 341 can't seem to get on the scale yet to see if I lost anything guess a little scared. One thing so far that is a God send is my sugars are way down 130's never thought I would see that, they were always in the high 200's.   All in all I am feeling better day by day step by step.
