Weight Loss More Energy

Yesterday I worked out on the treadmill again and did a bit better!:clap2: .   Menu on yesterday:   Breakfast: 1/2 cup of 1/3 less sugar Frosty Flakes w/ skim milk Lunch: Less than 1/2 cup of Cajun crab dip w/ crackers (8) Dinner: 1 crab cake Snack: 1 Sugar free popsicle   Workout:   Miles: 2.01 Calories: 262 Fat Calories: 82 Time: 31:50 MPH: 4.0   I MUST keep it up to reach my goal weight by the end of June!   Be Blessed!

Day 7 on Liquids

Okay today I only got 10grams of protein in, but I am about to make me a protein shake when I am finished here. And that should put me at about 70 grams for the day. I did my run today and geez it was HOTTT! Tomorrow morning I will get up about 7am and get my run in!! Another week on liquids! Until next time Keep the FAITH!

Day 8 on Liquids(07/31/2010)

Well today I got up and did my run and everything was great! But I was invited out for dinner late yesterday. I had planned on getting whatever soup (healthy) that was on the menu. But they only had chili!!! WHAT?! So I ended up ordering a Thai salad because the waitress suggested it. But it was TOO SWEET:thumbdown:! But I picked through it and only had a few pieces of chicken. From now on when I am on the liquid phase I will not go to dinner! But I did make me a protein shake later that night.

Day 11 on Liquids (well sort of)

Ok today on lunch I was really craving something filling, so I went to Taco Bell and got ONE order of pintos and cheese (very small container) and it did the trick. I guess you can say that counts as a mushy?? But that was all I had for lunch, but when I got home I had a little hummus and that was it! I won't have a protein shake tonight, I'm trying to figure out if I am drinking them to late and that's causing the scale to be mean :cursing:to me the next day!! So I will see in the morning, if so I will start drinking them in the morning instead. Until next time Keep the FAITH!:cool:

3rd Day Post-Opt

Well after a loonng night dealing w/ the gas pain I feel a little better. This go round I decided not to add skim milk to my protein shot, just a few cubes of ice. I'm feeling okay, for some reason I'm trying to face the fact that I have the band inside. I must admit, I have said why did I do this...but I know why. Maybe I will feel better once the liquid phase of it over, until then I will try and get it together. My sister and brother-n-law was trying to tell me it will be hard the first few weeks of getting use to this new lifestyle, but that isn't sinking in. Oh well...what's done is done. As for right now, I'm not too happy with my decision.

Trial and Error

Okay late last night I did eat fried smoke sausages in the red skin after my husband left to hang out w/ some friends. He would not let mess up this liquid thing...they were SUPER GOOD!!! I am wondering if I do the liquids and some kind of meat, if that would be okay? It will be like the Atkins diet, no breads or starches...any way I may do that. I will check w/ my care cordinator Tuesday to make sure. I did walk over a half of mile last night on my treadmill in 15 mins (didn't even break a good sweat). I felt good afterwards, but today I walked a little over three miles in about 45 mins at the park...it felt good to be back at my favorite park. My mom has never walked with me before and she walked a mile and a half:clap2: . Just last Sunday she was at the ER bent over in pain related to her back! Well as for my 2nd day of the pre-opt thing (YUCK), I've had one New Whey Protein shot w/ half of cup of skim milk blended w/ice, three sugar free popsicle (yum) a cup and a half of beef broth w/ Ramen noodle seasoning (left over from last night) and that's it! I will have tomato soup later and sugar free jello.   Be BLESSED,   Sheila:)

No Restriction

I am getting mad because the scale say I have gain two pounds. I assume it's all the water I am drinking. Nevertheless it is bothering me. i won't drink any water for the rest of the night to see what happens. I do not need this!!

Protein Drink

I went to The Vitamin Shoppe and they were out of the zero carb Isopure chocolate, vanilla and strawberry! So I got a box of New Whey 42grams of protein 3.1oz tubes. My nutritionist told me about them and since I am suppose to have 80 grams of protein a day these will be perfect! They are very convenient and no mixing, but I do want the zero carb Isopure.

Pre-Opt Menu:     Breakfast: New Whey 42gram fruit punch protein shot blended w/ ice and 1 cup of skim milk and Splenda.   Lunch: Caldo de Pollo w/ a hint of lime     Dinner: Same as above

Work It Out!!!

Well yesterday I did my 3 1/2 miles at the park and I felt so good! Not to mention I lost another pound! So that's three pounds from my fifteen pound goal for this month. Then last night as I was getting ready to go meet with some friends I decided to "try" on another pair of my jeans from three years ago and they fit BETTER now than they did then!!!! We had a girls night out and danced and I did my salsa and merengue and tore the floor UP! So I am too happy...I don't think I have ever said this before, but I love my BAND! Long Time No Write!

Hi everyone,   It's been awhile since I've been here. However, everything is going well...I've been taking Lipo6 and I can't tell a difference. I think it's because my workouts have been less and I've been eating a bit (that'll do it), but the good news is I haven't gained!! Anyway, today is my fourth day on liquids. As much as I hated this phase in the beginning it's working out good this time around for some reason. Maybe I am anxious about my 2 year anniversary on 10/1 and my birthday on 11/4. So I'm hoping I will be down about five pounds by Sunday when I weigh:embarassed:!! I just need to lose 16 MORE!!:faint: I think I can, I know I can...I CAN!!! Be blessed!

The Biggest Loser

Tonight was the finale of my favorite show The Biggest Loser and I am so happy for Erik! They all did a fabulous job...I love Bob! He is so cute to me, I wish he could move in to whip me into SHAPE. Anyway, I met a lady at church last night who had the lapband surgery on November 21st and she looks good already! After talking to her, I feel better. I am trying to focus on other things right now, my mind need a huge break. For the past weeks I have been studying for school and taking tests and not to mention getting my approval during it all. I need to relax and focus on my SAVIOR'S BIRTHDAY!!! I live because he was born...well that's all I have for now.   Be BLESSED!   Sheila:)

Going Forward

Hello everyone,   I just wanted to let you all know that I am going forward with the process. I've met with the psychologist, nutrionist and the the nurse at Dr. Woodman's office. One thing that did not sit well with me is the 500.00 fee that Dr. Woodman charges ALL patients:mad: . The nurse said it is for the support groups and other activities, I ask what if I don't want to participate in such activities and she said I would have to pay it anyway. So I may call around to find another doctor once I get approval, hopefully they won't charge that much if anything. I also went ahead and met with my primary care physician and he told me that he would submit the Lap Band reccommendation letter to Dr. Woodman's office (good!). So now I am just waiting for everything to be approved. I hope everyone is going GREAT and I will talk to you later.   Be BLESSED!:nervous

Day 6 on liquids!

Dang these days are flying by! And I feel great! I've really been taking my vitamins reguarly and trying to get my protein in, but today I've only had about 35-45 grams. Tomorrow is another day to increase my protein intake! I've met my goal of 3 POUNDS this week! YAY! My goal for August will be 10 pounds!!! I can do it!!! Until next time Keep the Faith!

Banded A Week Later

Well it's been a week since banded and I'm better. The one thing that is bothering me is going through another week of liquids. I know it is necessary, but I'm having a hard time. At least let me get to the puree stage!! I think I just heard my stomach for the first time...oh well. Dr. Madan is impressed with my weight lose, so that's good. This morning I did get on the treadmill at a really fast pace. Other than that I'm still day dreaming of being small.   Be BLESSED!

Pre-Opt Diet is harder than expected!

Okay yesterday I was suppose to start the pre-opt diet, but messed up. So today is going really well, but I am wanting to eat! So this morning I had one New Whey protein shot (42grams) on ice. Lunch: I had one New Whey protein shot (42grams) blended with about one cup of skim milk and ice. I also had a can of cream of broccoli soup w/ a half of cup of skim milk instead of using water. Honestly I am not hungry...I guess since I can't have what I want it's driving me crazy. Tonight I will have one Ramen noodle package (only seasoning) and mix it with one can of beef broth. I have already thrown the noodles away. I hope I can make it to 1/11. I guess it all depends on the doctor...one doctor say no pre-opt diet required and another say two week pre-opt is required! Oh well I will do my best to follow this stuff.   Be BLESSED, Sheila

One week to go!

I have one week to go until I'm banded! I am starting to get nervous again, but I know it will be alright. I will meet w/ the surgeon on tomorrow and have some other tests done by the anesthesiologist at the hospital. So I may be there about a half of day. Then I'm going to the school submit my papers for class on 1/16. So I have no earthly idea what time I will be in to work. Other than that it's a new day and I am giving this liquid thing another go. It's Been A Minute

Hello Everyone,   I've been meaning to blog, but I've been so busy! But to catch you all up to speed, my band doesn't have a leak YAY! :biggrin: So, I'm still on the mushies by choice, and I love what I'm seeing, RESULTS!:w00t: I haven't had meat in a month almost, August 24th will be a month. Breakfast: Nothing   Lunch: Chicken broth cooked with Better Than Bouillon, water, apple juice diluted w/ water.   Dinner: Chicken broth cooked with Better Than Bouillon. Popsicles, popsicles!

Today

Well when I leave work I'm heading to school until around 7:30 and I will come straight home and WORK IT OUT!!! I will break my treadmill record today!!!   Breakfast- Grapes and Crackers (8) Lunch- About 10 Sun Chips Snack- Grapes Dinner-Nothing Snack- Sugarfree Blue Bell The Great Divide (YUMMMM)   Be Blessed!

184!!

Well since yesterday, I'm down 2 pounds:clap2:!! I'm :whoo:184!!! :whoo:I really worked out hard today. Today is day five of liquids, I kinda want to keeping doing it, but I'm not sure if it will be healthy. Anyway, tomorrow's another hard workout day and I'm still shooting to lost three more pounds by Sunday. Be blessed!
