Like so many obese people, I have been over weight all my life. ALL MY LIFE! I am mother of 5 very active children, a wife, a daughter, a sister and a servant of my Lord. Reality set in for me when my PCP told me that I was morbidly obese. I was in shock. Call me naive but I thought that being morbidly obese meant that you could not walk and would be well over 500 pounds. I was so wrong. I decided to talk to my PCP around 2012 about WLS. I was on the fence about it and allowed my mother to talk me out of it. Well, in 2013 I decided to go ahead with it. I started to make changes in my diet and started to exercise. Why wait until surgery to do that. I want to have exercise in my daily routine, even if I do not feel like doing it. I am currently down 40 pounds from my highest weight and I am on day 3 of my liver shrink diet. I look forward to this surgery on August 26 2014. I also look forward to this weight lose and a healthier ME.

I like Bariatric Pal because it is loaded with helpful info for my weight lose journey. Also, you can connect with others that are in the same boat as you.

I am finally sleeved. Everything is going well and the pain is gone. Every now and again I may feel some discomfort but that is only when I sip too much. My surgery experience at OSU was awesome. The staff made me feel so comfortable that I did not have time to be scared. I can't wait to get the go ahead to use my recumbent bike so that I can jump start this weight lose.
