DH and I are planning a second honeymoon to Las Vegas this Winter. We've never been there before, so I'm hoping you guys can give us some advice on which attractions/shows we need to see. There are so many casinos and shows... I'm a little overwhelmed.

Other than the Star Trek experience, I don't even know where to start. Yes, I know. We're huge geeks.

DeLarla - I know you live in Vegas, so I'd also appreciate the scoop from a local!

If you are a Trekkie or a Trekker - the Experience was great fun. Don't forget to stop by Quarks for some Tranya... MMMMMMM. And, of course, there is a TON of Star Trek parephenalia to buy... I am the proud owner of a Tribble and two giant Soup mugs...

M&M World was 4 floors of shameless marketing... If you can get past the actual candy, it was fun, too.

11. The Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Las Vegas. This resort is host to a collection of more than 300 birds, including a flock of pink Chilean flamingos. African penguins, swans, ducks, and turtles also cavort amid lush tropical foliage imported from all over the world.

12. Stroll around Mandalay Bay (at the south end of the Strip). Enjoy the trained birds and the aquarium near the registration desk, marvel at the huge wave pool and the beach that fronts it, and spring for a visit to "Shark Reef," A large walk-through salt Water aquarium.

26. A fantastic and breathtaking drive up to Mt. Springs and a drink at Mt. Springs Saloon. (my personal favorite!!!) Head on over to Old Nevada too to feed the evil geese, see the rescue animals and let your husband pee in their bathtub!!

There's really no way to plan. You'll have this whole plan, then you see the Strip and the Vegas Gods hypnotize you. Then you just go, go, go. If you've never been here, it really is quite spectacular... and then some! Jenna's list is good. Shoot for just a couple things, because you'll get distracted and will try to do too much.

WOW! Jenna that list is great. I am printing it off now. John and I are celebrating our 7 year anniversary in November and planning a trip there. Gonna check out the NEW Blue Man Group and go see Queen's rock opera as well. Lots to do in Vegas.

My absolute FAVORITE place to stay is the Mandalay Bay.

They have the BEST spa I ahve ever been to - and I've been to my share.

If you go, call the spa in advance and set up an appointment for a facial or a massage. Do worry about which one - they a gazillion to choose from. You can decide when you get there. If you pay for a treatment, you get to use the spa for free all day. They have 4 hot tubs, a sauna and a eucalyptus steam room that is to die for. They have vegetable and fruit juices and bottles of Water all free for the taking. The showers in the spa are huge and wonderful and complete with spa exclusive shampoos and conditioners and body washes. Every shower has a different 'scent' to try. All the showers have a personal loofah - which I take home.

Don't even get me started on thier beach/pool!!

Don't waste your money on We Will Rock You (rock musical to Queen.) It's a disgrace to Freddy. The skit is so stupid that I actually talked on the cell phone and cleaned out my purse. It's like Austin Powers meets Grease, trying to do this lame futuristic thing. I went for my b-day and was thoroughly disappointed. Go see Mamma Mia instead (to the music of Abba.) Even if you don't like Abba, it's a great show that I've seen 4 times.

Don't miss Fremont Street. If you like Prime Rib, go to Jerry's Nugget in North Las Vegas (Las Vegas Blvd. No.) It's not the best neighborhood or casion, but there's nowhere on Earth you can get a hunk of prime rib like Jerry's. Order the Thick Cut Prime Rib for under $14.00 for hubby. You can eat from his.
