Hi all im glad to say im back on track with my post op diet. I was messing up pretty bad and I feel so bad about it. I start my soft food diet tomorrow and I am trying to figure out everything that I would be able to eat. I know in my booklet from the clinic it says fish chicken and like mash it with my fork. Each doctor seems to have his own version of post-op diet. If I were you I would call his/her office and ask what you should eat.

Hey there! I start my soft foods tomorrow too and on my list is meatloaf, homemade chili, eggs, beef stew etc. it says just to chew 30 times each.

how long do you do soft foods for?

Depends on the Doctor. mine was 1 week full liquids and 2 weeks Mushies. It varies greatly Doctor to Doctor.

Greg - what mushies were your favorite...Tomorrow I can start mine? Our Drs are with the same practice, but I like to know what others ate and liked. How long did you feel restriction from the swelling. I just had a 1/4 cup of soup and am super full. I hope I continue to feel restriction... I got the AP lapband did you have the realize?

To me soft foods take the shape of their container. Put cottage cheese in a drinking glass and eventually it will sink down and level off like water. Throw in a piece of meatloaf in a glass and it will just sit there in its original shape!I think the spinach is good and good for you!

Yes I had a cup of soup and im stuffed. The only problem I have been having is I been craving for other real foods and been doing bad I just got back on track yesterday. I had to rewind my thinking and do the right thing. Anyway I went and bought like those cups of ravioli, easy mac, and some baked fish that you can pop in microwave. i got those for lunch becuase the store I went to didn't have any catfish and I love baked catfish. I wanna have that with spinach or salmon anything soft is what my cousin said and she even said to make sure you chew that up well too.
