Am I approved? Or not?

Okay, so here's the deal....I just got a letter in the mail and this is what it says:

VISITS/UNITS:0001

FROM-THROUGH DATES: August 31, 2009-December 31, 2009

The healthcare service(s) listed above has been approved based on the information provided.

If you have any questions, please call the Customer Service/Member Services telephone number shown at the top of this letter.

NOTE-Within 5 days before the actual date of service, Provider MUST confirm with Blue Shield that the member's health plan coverage is still in effect.

Blah, blah, blah.......

So....did anyone else read into that I was approved for the surgery? Because I did and unfortunately, I cant call and find out because it is after 5pm on the west coast. And unfortunately (also), it is an extra long weekend....ugh! Why did I wait until 15 mins ago to get the mail when it was in the mailbox five hours ago???!!! LOL

Yes sounds to me like they've approved it as long as it's done by Dec 31 2009. So celebrate! :)

Thanks! I called the surgeon's office and they havent received anything, but the woman I spoke to told me that if I received an approval letter than I am approved. She told me that I have a meeting to attend on Friday and after that meeting I will be given a surgery date. I HOPE! I still need to talk to the financial specialist at the office to find out my payment options......HERE's HOPING!
