couldn't possibly be true

In 4 months I lost 4 pound.

I had my 3rd fill less than a week ago, and now I'm down 4 pound in a week. This I completely do not believe. The beginning of the week I was at around 1500 calories a week (up from my 1200) to close to 1000 after my fill.

I went from 45% body fat in May to my current 41.9% as of tonight!

Of course, someone could be playing a horrible joke one me. (probably the Ravens.)

Hi everyone, well, I'm getting use to the band. I still feel sore especially at the port. If I try to bend forward I get this pulling feeling. Tomorrow I go to the doctor for 1st follow up and suture removal I assume. I cannot take one more day of broth, I have lost 17 lbs to date. Doesn't this seem like alot of wt already? It must be water weight because I have been on clear liquids for 7 days. My surgeon is very conservative and states that I will be on full liquids for the next 5 weeks. I will know for sure tomorrow. Comments appreciated. Glo

Way to go!! You go girl!! I had my first fill a couple of weeks ago and have not budged a teeny bit according to the scale. I think I need a second fill. At any rate you enjoy your loss -- we are all proud of you!

Congrats Vines, You're doing great. Don't forget that with all the exercise you're doing, that you are trading out fat for muscle. I wouldn't sweat it too much when the scale doesn't move as long as I'm seeing changes in my inches or the fit of my clothes. I know that during the times my scale didn't move, others would say I looked like I'd been losing more. 5 pounds down is great!

Hi Vicky, no almost I never go to the support meetings. ... It's almost 800 miles one way... and I have an 8:00 am class on Tuesdays. sooo it doesn't really work for me :)

My DH usually goes though. :)

Wow, I wish I could take in that many calories and loose that much in a week. I've been taking in 600 calories a day and have been able to loose about 2.5 lbs a week.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Congrats to you for loosing 4 more pounds.

Congratulations! Every success should be celebrated!

Hi quilter mom, Wow, 600 calories a day, 2.5 pounds gone a week, why do you think you are doing something wrong???? ???? That is phenominal weight loss! Tallk about your Rabbits!

Since you've been banded in July, I've lost a total of 5 pounds to your 35 pounds.

Quilter Mom; it's highly likely that your loss will slow down for a while if you eat a bit more, but on the other hand, if you were to hit a plateau while eating 600 cals a day, what would you do? I'm personally a firm believer of 'eat as much as you can while still losing weight' so that you can cut down if you get stuck. But that's just my opinion and I thought I'd share. Leave whatcha don't want and take what helps you :)

Vines-- I TOLD you inhertia has a way of ertia-ing! (Didn't believe me, didja?!) THis week I hereby dub you....

(drum roll please)...

.......................... Crystalertia.

I seriously do not think anyone can eat 600 calories a day for a week (two tops) without losing--the PROBLEM with losing quickly at 600 is you also tend to GAIN QUICKLY when you go back to something sustainable. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's done those low-cal programs for a month or two just to gain it back in LESS THAN a month or two.

1,000 cals a day is about the lowest I think is reasonable for a normal-sized person to eat for any amount of time. It may take you longer to lose but you haven't forgotten the moral of the story have you??

THE TURTLE WON!!
