my dr never even told me anything about taking vitamins although I should be. Which are you taking besides calcium?

2 multi-vits a day

b-50 complex

3 calcium-500 mg each

My doctor never said anything about vitamins either. I will have to ask him when I go to my post op this Thursday.

Of course you should follow whatever your doc or nutritionist has told you  but...

If you're having any trouble getting the Vitamins down, there's a powder you can buy. It contains calcium and vitamins recommended for bariatric patients. I think the brand is Celebrate. What I found is a grape-flavored powder that you can mix with a bottle of Water. I have not tasted it yet though...still pre-op. PM me if you'd like more info. I ordered it online. I'm not crazy about grape but figured it could come in handy.

Good luck and happy banding,

TPG

thanks for the reminder ! i have to place stickies everywhere because i tend to forget to take them. my dr suggested a chewable mutivitamin with iron like flinstones , calcium chewable, and liquid b12. i also take biotin and zinc.

Can somebody tell me how to get my weight ticker on my profile. I know how to copy and paste, but I'm not sure how or where to paste it on my profile. tks.:)

my dr didn't stress vitamins either since there isn't the malnutrition like there is with the bypass, but the nutritionist said i needed to take them anyway. I just pop a chewable flinstones complete (the purple bottle) and a walgreens brand calcium plus d (also chewable) every morning. I keep them right on my bedside table so they're the first thing i see every morning and i don't forget!
