Does anyone have VAPremier as ther HMO and is getting the lap band surgery I wanted to know how long does it take. Cause I was told that I have to do a six month diet plan with my primary doctor and I wanted to know will i be looking at next year for the surgery cause that is to long. Any advice anyone and im in the richmond va area.

My ins is Blue Cross/Blue Shield thru the Commonwealth of VA

and I went to Commonwealth Surgeons at St Marys Dr Bautista with no 6th month diet

I really like their practice. I wish I could be of more help
