Im new

Hello to everyone im new here and I go to my first appointment ever on August 20th 2009 to talk to my surgeon about the lapband. Its just that I have an HMO and I want to see if they would cover the cost of surgery and consultation. the only catch is I have to see my primary care physician and she has to evaluate me for six months and I have to get all of these tests done on me. Im in the Richmond, VA area and I wanted to know does anyone know how long it will take me to get scheduled for the surgery if I want my HMO to cover all charges. Please dont tell me I probably wont get the surgery until next year. Pleas help
