Phentermines on Pre-op diet

Hello Gang!!! I have some Phentermine pills and I have read all the posting that the pre-op diet is really difficult and I was wondering if anyone took them during this time to help them with the pre-op weight loss? Can you please let me know what happen, if anything. I am set to start diet on July 5.:rolleyes2:

You should check with your surgeon. Some meds are not allowed within certain timeframes of surgery. The phentermine may raise your blood pressure and impact your surgery date.

I didn't take anything on my pre-op diet. The pre-op diet isn't hard if you don't cheat. Once you discontinue eating carbs after 3-4 days your body stops physically craving them. I think the pre-op diet is really hard for people who cheat and do eat carbs. The more carbs you eat, the more your body craves them. Good luck!

I also have phentermine but I didn't use it before surgery. Taking it before surgery is not advisable. I am 5 wks post -op and I'm using it now to get through the hungry days.

I didn't use it before, but sure wish I had it now.
