Bad back ache! Anyone else???

I am trying to detemine if this is related to the band or another issue. Recently, I have started to experience bad back pain, towars the top middle part of my back. The pain is very sharp as to where I can't sleep or even get comforatable. I notice this flares up after I have attempted to eat. Is this familiar to anyone?:bored:

I had a very similar issue with the back aches after eating. Come to find out I had gallstones. It's very common for people who've lost alot of weight in a brief period to get gallstones. I hope you feel better soon. You should probably go to your primary care doctor if it continues. My pain was intermittent and the pain would radiate in the middle and sometimes move up my shoulder on the right side. If you do have gallstones they'll probably remove your gallbladder - pretty easy surgery - very similar to lapband.

Hope you feel better soon.

Depending on when your surgery was, it could be the gas pains. It goes just wherever it wants to.

my surgery was 10/30/08 - don't think it is gas

LOL.. I didn't notice that part. You're right, probably not gas! oops

when was your last fill?

I had back pain problems 2 months ago (surg 8/08), same type pain, same area. Come to find that I had been "overfilled" accidentally because the band hadn't been completely emptied the fill before. What we thought was 6.6 ml was 7.3! I had to have an unfill and felt better in a day.
