cycle messed up?

I was banded 5/5 and got my first period since my banding. Its heavy and is not slowing down like it usually does. I've called my OB and he wants me to wait till Monday, but I am wondering if it is a coincidence and that it has nothing to do with the banding. Is anyone else having issues?

I have read thatthe amount of fat affects estrogen. When you lose fat, our bodies hormone levels naturally change. When you lose fat fast eventually even out, especially once you start losing rapidly. I hope this helps, call your doc though if it doesnt change. Good luck!
