Magic Bullet- best invention ever!!!

Recommended Posts

A very good friend of mine who had the lap band many years ago gave me some advice and said to me- You have to buy a Magic Bullet (blender) for after your surgery- It is the best thing ever and I use it every day-

Well I bought it before my surgery and used it for the 1st time yesterday to make a "smoothie" and let me tell you- I used it again this am and cannot imagine not having it now-

It literally took 3 minutes to make this- 1/2 banana, 1/2 boost vanilla drink ice and a few strawberries for sweetness... TO DIE FOR!!!!!!

They also have a recipe book for various things from appetizers to creating meals in literally minutes- The infomercial is quite hilarious but seriously a must have for any lap bander- plus the cup it uses is exactly the amount for us to use to drink- 4-6 oz......

The website to buy is The Magic Bullet Blender - Official Website

When I bought mine it was buy 1 get one so we are selling the other one on ebay soon- a steal of a deal for $100 bucks.

How weird....I actually went and bought one of these at Wal-Mart last night because today is my first "puree" day. I was a bit surprised at the price, which was $54.97, but for as much as I think I'll probably use it...it was well worth it.

I just used it for the first time...and I can already tell it's going to be my favorite thing ever.

I put in a can of Albacore tuna, some light Miracle Whip and Newman's Light Honey Mustard dressing and mixed it up.

Awesome.

I can't wait to throw some chili in there.

I love my magic bullet a lot ! I was really excited when I read the booklet that mentioned making fresh salsas and things with it. So I tried to make some with peppers and onions and let me tell ya....either it doesn't chop them, or it chops them to goo. Try as I might, I couldn't get small (or even semi-large) chunks.

If anyone else knows a secret, please fill me in ! I'm the queen of shakes, but no such luck with other things that I don't want to be goo.

if you just tap tap it, u are more able to control the chop size. I hope this helps! good luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
