Anyone Exhausted???

Hi all--I'm 17 days post op and totally exhausted. If I am still and quiet for 5 minutes I'm out! I'm taking chewable vitamins tailored to bariatric patients. Anyone else feel this way? Any tips?

I am 3 weeks out and I just started the soft food stage and I am now starting to feel normal. I honestly was exhausted until I started eating normal again. Dont worry, you will be feeling better soon:thumbup:

this probley sounds crazy but in am i drink a 5 hr energy drink, has no carbs and think 4 cal, seems to help me pick it up and goooooooooooooo, have 1 every am when i wake up

Not me. I was in nusring school and didn't have time to be that tired. Check with your doctor.

I only had a couple of days like that (no reason I could think of) I just had to give into it and toke it easy. I was about 15-16 days out. I called in body adjustment time. Now that I am back to a real life, I get kicked out easily. I had to drive about 6 hours on Thurs. and back home on Fri. I worked about 2 hrs. yesterday and today and I was wiped out. I took a nap about 1:45 and was out till 5:30, there will be no problem getting to sleep tonight.

i am two weeks out and im still tired and easily worn out. I do notice that I feel a little bit better now that im eating mushies, but its not even close to how i am normally. i hope I get my energy back soon too.

good luck

amy

I was banded 9 days ago and still very tired! I tried going back to work after 5 days and ran myself down, now i am off work until Thursday of this coming week. I notice i need a small nap during the day. I was the same way when i had my gall bladder removed. All surgeries take a lot from your body. And your body is going through a lot of changes not to mention the amount of calories we intake now has dropped big time so less fuel. It will get better!

Niterun, congrats on the 30 pounds! Way to go!

skw08 - hang in there, you will feel more like yourself in the coming weeks and eventually you'll have even more energy.

DD told me this weekend that she couldn't get over how energetic I am now. :-D
