I'm about 65 miles south of st. louis but i will be having my surgery there. Good luck on the approval.

Congratulations! Good luck on your journey!

I am so excited for you! I am being banded on the 22nd as well!

Congrats to you as well. I feel like I have been waiting FOREVER for my new life to begin. I am so nervous, excited, anxious....My name is Jackie by the way, I am 5 feet tall and 240lbs. Goal weight is 140. I start the pre op diet on Easter. No Easter goodies for me, but oh well!!! It will be well worth it!!! good luck to you!

Iam also getting banded on April 22, Iam so excited!! It felt like I was never going to have a band date. Iam sure I will be on here a lot when I start my 2 week liquid diet before my surgery. Thats the one thing Iam dreading. Good luck with everything you do!!

Hi and welcome to all the new soon-to-be bandsters,

Congratulations on your surgery dates.

You will find a whole community of people being banded in April HERE and you can find a list of April bandits HERE

Yay! Congrats! Ill be banded on the 16th! So scared but so excited!

I'm so confused about the pre op dieting. Some people have 2 week liquid only diets and some don't. I start my pre op diet 10 days before surgery and it is not a liquid only diet. I am THRILLED about this, but at the same time I wonder why some are and some are not. I am allowed to have fat free ham turkey or chicken, yogart, canned fruit in light syrup, popcicles, protein shakes, broth, crystal light, cottage cheese. I wonder why different places have different pre-op diets for the same surgery???
