Hey everyone. I was banded Wednesday and I am on the road to recovery....woo hoo. I stayed overnight in the hospital and came home late Thursday night. My first night home was rough but I started feeling better yesterday afternoon. I am having trouble getting all the liquids i'm suppose to have in a days time, especially the protein drinks, they make me nauseated. Well talk to you all soon. Keep up the good work everyone.

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to wish the best of luck to all the bandsters today. My surgery is tomorrow. I have been on clear liquids for 3 days and much to my surprise, it hasn't been bad at all. I will check in with you all on Thursday when I get home from the hospital. Keep up the good work!!!:crying:

Congratulations everyone. I still have 9 days before I get banded. I am starting to get nervous and excited at the same time. I'm wishing all the luck to everyone getting banded and to all that have already got banded.

I'm about 65 miles south of st. louis but i will be having my surgery there. Good luck on the approval.

What protein drinks or mixes do you recommend?

I start my pre op diet on April 18th, 5 days prior to my surgery. My surgery will be in St. Louis with Dr. Minkin.

Anyone else having the band on this date???

I had my first consultation with the surgeon Jan. 14. Went for all my testing(dietician, physch consult, ekg, stress test, chest x-ray) on Feb. 9th. Paperwork submitted to ins. on Feb. 19th. Approved March 24th.

I got the news yesterday from the insurance company that i was approved!!! Now i'm waiting on the surgeons office to call with my surgery date.

I'm from Missouri, about 65 miles south of St. Louis. I completed all my testing Feb. 9. All the insurance needs now is medical clearance from my primary doc which I go to him on Thursday. So that being said hopefully within the next month I will have my surgery.

I am currently waiting for my surgery date.
