Praying...

New here. Praying our NEW insurance effective Feb 2nd will pay for gastric surgery. I live in Houston and have attended seminars for Dr's Spivak and Spiegel. Previous insurance would not approve surgery. I am PRAYING that United Health Care does!

I'm wondering if with lap band surgery would I lose all the weight i need to lose? Need to drop 130 pounds. I see a lot of folks losing 50-75-80 pounds.

Glad to be here. and still praying for coverage!

Hi. I will be praying for you too. I had my surgery done in Houston by Dr. Ken Hollis (True Results). I have been so happy with the care I have received. Dr. Hollis and his staff are wonderful. I had 135 pounds to lose when I started in August, and I have lost 62 of them. I'm sure I will get to my goal and I'm sure you can too. Good luck with your insurance. Becky

I'll be praying for you also. Unfortunatly...i have UHC and they will not cover my surgery. BUT it all depends on what your comapany signs up for as benefits and how many ppl work for your company....good luck I hope that you work for a better company than i do. Many ppl who have UHC have had theirs covered.
