  1. I care...You got this! baby steps...short walks turn into long walks.. try watching "loosing it " with Jillian Michaels & add her as a friend on facebook...she helps me alot...& reruns of the biggest looser...works 4 me...sometimes.

  4. I too have agony with gas pains! right under the breats in the center. I take Gas-X which has simethicone in it. 2 strips at a time. they work!!! heating pad on chest & neck for a fer hours works wonders. Good Luck & Keep in touch!
  5. Hi! Before surgery I used to take a nutritional drink called Monavie :thumbup:2 x's per day (2 oz. per day) It worked unbelievable for me. I stopped 2 months before surgery per my surgeon because of the glucosamine(it thins your blood, not good before surgery) Just wondering has anyone heard of it? Take it in place of a multi vitamin? or with? Anyone taking it? Not taking it? please read up about it & let me know what you think! I plan on asking my Doc about it post op but just curious NOW! I am not really hungry. i want to chew. i'm doing broths, fruit 2-0 waters, green tea, ice pops, Isopure neutral flavor protein added to broths, Isopure Pineapple orange banana protein added to skim plus milk, (FYI-www.allstarhealth.com for the best prices & u can return it if ur not satisfied)gas-x strips for the gas in my neck...it's sooo bad. try a heating pad 4 gas on chest & neck, works 4 me. Good Luck!

  8. hey! i too have been mentally hungry & want 2 chew. i'm doin the icepop thing. i have the chest pains 2 that take my breath away.....slowly sip fruit 2-0 water @ room temp. cold or hot can make ur pouch spasm. We can do this! I'm makin' u my band buddy!

  11. Hi! I was banded on 1/21/09 & the first 3 days were the same as yours. pain meds. every 3 1/2 hrs.& sleeping. i tried to sleep off the excruciating gas pains in my neck area. I the started alternating the percocet with reg. strength tylenol. using Gas-X strips & a heating pad on my neck & chest & today I'm a new woman. I too thought something was wrong with me for not feeling better after the 3 days. I go back 2 work on Tuesday & hope I can manage. still have port pain @ every move....But it will get better.   12. I am on day 3 post op. i have 2 more days 2 recover, i hope i can make it back 2 work. Ican't sit up straight 4 long & I have a desk job.
  13. Hi! My name is J.C. I'm from NY. I was in a lil' pain after surgery & not very hungry. Now I am mentally hungry 3 days post op. my port is very sore & sewn into my muscle. I have horrible gas in the shoulder/neck area. Can't wear a bra...But hey, I would do it all over again. I know that I've made the most important decision of my life....I choose to live.... please respond with support! i need you! lol.
