A quick question about the larger incision

Just a quick question about the larger incision above the belly button. I had my surgery on 12/18, that area is still sensitive, does anyone else have that problem. I also had a hiatal hernia fixed at time of surgery, so I didn't know if that could be why its more sensitive. Just asking.

mine isn't sensitive but it is still numb

I didn't have hernia repair when I had my surgery, but the port incision is sensitive for a long time. I am four months post surgery and I still have times where the port incision area hurts. As long as the area isn't inflamed and red I wouldn't worry about it.

See I'm not like Momcof3...my port incision healed fine and never bothered me. But that one above my belly button bugged me for a while...even a month or two out if I hit it (it seems to be counter height on my tummy!) on a counter etc it would twinge. That quit at some point, though, because I haven't even thought about that for a good while now. It'll heal; it just takes time!

Thank you for the replies. Its when I lean against the counter or the table is when it hurts. Hopefully it will stop sometime soon.
