Jacksonville Florida

Hi :wink2: I am just getting started in this process. I am going to the seminar with Dr Webb on December 9th at Memorial Hospital. I was wondering if anyone knows him. A doctor recommended him to me but I was hoping to get another opinion. Also does anyone know if Aetna might be able to waive the 3 months of doctor controlled dieting if you have gone to Weight Watchers recently? I would LOVE to be able to get this done sooner rather than later. I have tried everything and really hope that this one will work

Welcome Julie and good luck on your journey to a new and healthier you.

Hi Julie, a friend of mine had surgery with Dr. Webb a year ago and he's doing great - lost over 100 pounds. He liked the entire program. Aetna might waive the 3-month supervised diet thing, call them and ask! You have to have proof from WW that you attended, though.

I was just banded at Mayo on 11/19/08 and it went really well, I would do this again. I haven't had too many problems so far - although I have learned not to eat too much and not to drink too fast! Good luck!
