Hello Everyone

I have been looking into WLS for some time. I have been over weight for the past 25 years. I have lost over 50 lbs. a couple of times, but always gained it back and more. I look forward to a new me. I no longer want to get winded after walking up one flight of stairs!

My insurance approved me very quickly, however due to starting a new job, I am not able to have my surgery until the 1st of January. I have also decided not to announce this to everyone - only family and a few close friends. My significant other made me feel so good when he stated that he loves me just the way I am, but was also concerned about my weight because he wants to grow old with me. He is right by my side.

I will be posting on the board with questions, so please be patient.

Everyone have a great day!

Morning!

Glad to hear your insurance approved you! I just received the lap-band in October 2008.

Enjoy your day!

Welcome to the forum, there are a great group of ladies here who can give you so much first hand information.

I was banded on Oct 29 and so far so good. I can tell you I made my final decision after joining this group, plus I was equipped with all kinds of questions for my surgeon after being on LBT.

Goodluck in the up coming months as you prepare for your surgery.:(
