Got banded yesterday! question

I'm moving along pretty well. I will say I'm stiff and sore.

They have this clear bandage on them, and I can see the blood from yesterday. They haven't gotten worse, but looks icky.

They say I can take a shower tomorrow, and take off my bandages.

Should I put other bandages on?

Any input?

Congrats on getting banded....glad to hear you're doing well. My doctor said to leave the bandages on until they come off by themselves. You migh want to call their office and see if they want you to replace them. By the way, love your "Lori" logo!

Hi, Lori. The gauze bandages can be taken on in about 2-3 days. But, leave the steri-strips on. They will fall off by themselves. I was banded on the 16th. Godd luck.

HI Lori,

I was banded on 10/15, took the gauze bandaids off next morning in the shower, left the steri strips on until I saw my doctor a week later, he reached up and started taking them off, said just keep showing because it had derma glue and one stich in each. I'm doing fine now, still see the glue too but this too will pass.

I just got banded yesterday too!! Congrats. I'm still a little sore, still taking my meds. My Dr. told me I could take a shower 24hrs later. Just did a few hours ago. The small ones were ok, but the bigger one hurt a little. Keep the steri strips on though. Only if you have leakage should you put any other bandages on. good luck!
