My name is Linda I registered on this site yesterday as a newbie so I would welcome any threads or info from all members. I had my band fitted in May 08 first infill in June but was overfilled which wasn't very pleasant since then I have had a reduction and now a slight infill. Can't help but be a bit dissapointed I have lost a stone upto now but I cant be sure its working properly any input welcome xxxxx:drool:

Welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of people here to give you advice and support.

It's hard to say whether or not your band is working properly, as really only you can judge if the restriction is there. However, there is lots you can do. Are you exercising regularly? What about portion control? Can you give a few more details - how much fill have you got in what size band? How much weight do you want to lose? Sorry about the number of questions, just trying to help.

Some people, myself included, only needed one fill to get good restriction. Some others need more fills. Try not to be disappointed, but keep a positive outlook, even in the tough times. It's not easy I know, but it does help.

I live in Liverpool too- however I didn't get my band fitted there, at the moment I get my band filled when I visit family overseas, but it would be great to get the band filled closer to home! If you don't mind sharing- where do you get your band filled and how much does it cost?
