Hello! Just got banded!

Hey there My name is Krista and I just got my Lap band placed 9/25/08. Still having some pain but from what I have read from other posts on other sites I am doing well I have been able to lay on each side with minimal initial discomfort and I sleep well on either side, in fact laying flat on my back makes the gas pains worse! Just now feeling like I can handle the protein shakes and soups, but not more than one or two servings in a day.:bolt:

Hey congrats! Do you have some gnarley scars... how about your stomach does it seem swollen where the main incision was done? I posted some pics... from the surgery, and I was banded a day before you. Do you get the hiccups, or anything like that? I am on the protein drinks, and soups, and yogurts.... yummmmm... kidding.. I wonder, do you know how much your doc filled your band wth initially? I heard that out of surgery your band already had a little bit of liquid in it. Congrats!

Hi. Welcome to the forum. I was banded the same day that you were. I am not allowed to have shakes yet. I am on Clear Liquids until next week. I am glad that you are doing well with the discomfort. Keep us posted on your progress. Good luck!
