Hey peps..just to start out with, today was my 2 week post op follow up with my surgeon. Everything is going good. I have offically lost 12 pounds and in good condition. The Nurse felt around for a few minutes before she finally felt my port. I have a realize 9cc. She said it is just a little bit harder to find my kind of port because they are alot slimmer than the others. I am going back on the 15 of this month to have my first fill. Can anyone please tell me what to expect with my first fill? Also, I am having these big time cravings for something sweet. I have tried to munch on a sugar free popsicle put that just isn't doing it for me. Is there anything sweet that I can have. I was thinking earlier about the Weight Watchers sweet stuff. I wonder if that would be ok to try. All of the sweet stuff is very small but still really nice and helps alot with the cravings. I ate them with my last diet before I had the band placed. If anyone has any suggestions, please please please, tell me.

Ok, first, if you like chocolate, Jello has some new sf puddings in dark chocolate, dark chocolate and raspberry, and chocolate mint. They are super yummy and I eat one every night before bed. Only 60 calories!!!

About the fill, mine was completely painless. The PA who does the fill felt around for my port. I put my hands over my head and looked at the ceiling. I was expecting it to hurt, so I didn't want to think about it. She told me there was going to be a stick. I didn't feel anything. It just felt "weird" after the Fluid was in. She put 2ccs in my 11cc band. They normally do 3-4, but I had lost quite a bit already and I asked for less. She put a bandaid on and I sat up and drank the Water she gave me. It kind of stuck going down, so she told me she was going to unfill some. She pulled off the bandaid (now THAT hurt) and stuck me again and took out 1cc, leaving me with 1cc in. I did fine drinking Water with that, so I left. My PA doesn't numb the area before doing the fill and I still felt no pain whatsoever, except for when she pulled the bandaid off.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
