I remember "Rickysmom" I'm pretty sure...but you didn't have your pic as your avator, right? I'm still on Nessa's branch off board...do you remember her? ladybug nessa One thing I've learned is that online support is crucial for me! Isn't it funny we are being banded at the same "time"?

LoveIslovely--I just bought some clearance tankinis from Lane Bryant! $6.95 for each piece! Rhinestone accent tankini swim top at Lane Bryant - Visit lanebryant.com for women's plus-size clothing and lingerie in sizes 14-32 and Gottex tankini at Lane Bryant - Visit lanebryant.com for women's plus-size clothing and lingerie in sizes 14-32. Several sizes! Funny, huh?

Yes, I had my pic in as my avator. I remember Nessa. That is so cool that we've come this far & have met up again to get banded! Proves we've tried it all.:)

I stopped by the store today to pick up a sports bra (a suggestion by a very nice person here); Liquid Tylenol / Gas Strips (cause I keep reading on here about having these).

DH got me a bottle of optisource post-bariatric surgery formula chewable vitamins & mineral supplement???

I'm so excited I can't of anything but life after being banded!

Lol, it will be aaaaaaaaall worth it!!! Yeii Friday is right around the corner!

Miss Undastood. I am having surgery Friday, 10-03 also. I know exactly how you feel. I think I have everything ready. I have the house cleaned, so I don't have to worry about it. I have all my vitamins, liquid tylenol, gas x strips, broth and so on and so on. Just think, surgery is just the day after tomorrow. Good luck. I hope to post Friday or Saturday. I am sure we will be fine. On our way to a healthier, slimmer and happier life.

Hope that our first round of bandsters did well today!! Best of luck to the group that is going tomorrow: Vidahlia; NEWLIFE4BEV; mrsrdh; mamac; kdraves; emialiabri; markfarnsworth; Bratty_Nicole :smile2: Wishing you all the best! I will be thinking of you and waiting anxiously for my turn!

I am going shopping this weekend. I have already bought nonunderwire hook in front bras from a website that was recommended on this website, elastic waist pants to wear while I'm home. I need to get chapstick, Gas-X, Protein shakes, broth, Jell-O and some good DVDs to watch while I am home! :(

Wow, I can't believe all of us on the list! Just want to say that my friend was banded last Tuesday and tried to go without her pain meds. BIG MISTAKE She has been miserable. Make sure if you need the meds take them! She also has been eating a lot of popcicles, so maybe stock up on the as they are soothing. Just some suggestions, OH and get a sports bra that is nice and big for right after surgery. Best of LUCK to all! :(

Well I am thinking about those that are having surgery today. I hope you will come back and post very soon. I am going to start a thread so you have a place to post all about your surgery experience. I can't wait to hear from all of you!!!

Can you fill me in on the secrect behind needing a sports bra with no wire? ;)

Thanks!

i'm self pay, oct 7th too! :-D looking forward to being on the other side with you!! :w00t:

I get banded Friday, Oct. 3. Been almost a year in the making and now I can't wait! Good Luck to all the Smashing Pumpkins!

I'm not sure about the bra. But I am wearing one of my house dresses. It's like a lounger made out of cotton. It has a nice print that you can't see thru, so I am not wearing a bra. If someone has an answer to why we need a sports bra with no wire, please let me know. If I need to wear one, please let me know. I had a colonoscopy (spelling) this year and I wore that same dress. It sure made it a lot easier to get dressed and there is no waist line to put pressure on my stomach. And I just wear my Croc slip on sandals. I am not trying to impress anyone, not yet anyway.

I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. That sounds early, but I have to be at work at that time, so I am ready. The nurse from the hospital called today and said the whole procedure would take about 3 to 4 hours from the surgery time, (surgery is at 8:00 am), so I could be out of there by 12:00 noon. I hope so. I hate to stay in the hospital.

Good luck to all the Smashing Pumpkins.

I wish we could hear from some of the Pumpkins that had surgery today and yesterday.
