Friday the 8th August - WEIGH IN!

Okay just starting a new thread:

Weight loss this week: 3.2 kgs (7lbs)

Exercise this week: 2 X 4 km (2 mile) walk

I moved to mushies yesterday and from yesterday to today I've not lost anything. I suspect my body was so starved it's grabbing on to every calorie it can! Lol!

That's okay, I've made a resolution anyway. No more scale-stalking during the week. From now on, I weigh in only on Fridays with all you lovely people.

Alright all, let's check in!

I have lost 30 pounds over the last three weeks! I can fit into a great pair of sandals, and my clothes are baggy. One very happy princess who is ready to luzalot more! Kim

17lbs pre-surgery

13lbs this week

Exercise short walks and back to school shopping!

Next week: Back to work on Monday and traveling by Wednesday!

I weighed in at 335 this morning which is pretty much what I have been at give or take 5 ponds for many months now. I will consider that my starting weight which is also what my ticker has. I walked in the park three times this week. I am getting banded on Thursday and my doctor has a mandatory one night stay in the hospital so I will weigh in one day late next week but I will be a different person and have embarked on the journey of (and for) a lifetime.

At my first consult I weighed 252, then weighed 257 when I had my stress test.:tt2: Weighed 249 pre op at the hospital Wed. and today I'm 247. Hoping to be down a few pounds by next friday!

269 Before Surgery

261 Day of Surgery (Wednesday)

264 3 days after

I think my body is really holding on to all the fluids. I've been walking alittle bit, today I've mostly been a bed with a migraine.

Cutie~

Sorry about the migraine. Will they let you take anything for it. I have an okay on my imitrex, cut in 1/4s and take with Water.

I hope you feel better, I definitely feel your pain!

Okay, here is the weight loss, so far:

Nutritionist 6/30: 267

Day of surgery 8/5: 247

Today 8/8: 243

Somebody posted early about not ever having to gain back this weight, what a great thought. When I read it, it really sunk in, I am moving down the scale for good! Woo Hoo!

Remember cutie, you'd have lots of swelling too this early on. I'm sure by next Friday your swelling would have gone done substantially.

You are all CHAMPIONS!! Well done to committing yourselves to this thread and putting yourself out there for all of us to support you through this!

All we have to do is take it week by week - commit to our exercise and food goals for the week and just make it to next Friday staying true to them. I know we can do it together.

I am feeling much much better but still have a week off work. So I'm committing to walking at least 30 mins everyday, not just 4 times a week, this week.

0 lbs. This may sound crazy but I'm not trying to loose weight yet. You read that right. I'm not trying to loose weight right now.

My BMI just qualified for surgery b/c I also have high blood pressure. Once I start loosing my BMI will be quickly go below the required minimum of 35. I was told I will not be weighed again, but I keep having these nightmares that after surgery I will not be covered b/c my BMI was not at least 35 at the time of surgery.

My wife says I'm crazy. And, she may be right?!?

I start the two week pre-op diet on Monday, so I'm sure I will have some, hopefully a very little, weight loss to share next Friday.

For everyone else, CONGRATULATIONS!!

They said I can Advil. I stopped taking the pain meds, so I'm doing alot better.

I'm not to worry about being up, the way I go from here is down right?

I HOPE!!!!!

Keep up the good work everyone! I can't wait to see your number next friday. I'm hoping for a steady 2 lbs a week, believe me I'll take more! But, my goal is to lose 104 lbs the first year, and 35 - 40 during the second.
