I did it! I'm Banded!

I am officially banded! Had my surgery this morning at 8 and was released by 10:30! I feel great, my only complaint is that my mouth is very, very dry and I have a bad taste in my mouth that I can't seem to get rid of. I was so nervous last night that I did not sleep more than a couple of hours! I had a great experience at the hospital everyone was so nice.

Hope everyone else is doing good. I'll try to catch up on all the posts later this afternoon. It is so nice to have someone to share this with. My family has been great but it is not the same as having people going through it with you! Thanks for being there!

Yaaaayyyyy Shelby! You ran through that hospital like a crazy woman, didn't you? It's great that you came here to let us know that you're doing well and how things went.

Congrats Shelby!

Don't forget to keep up on sipping Water. I was bit dehydrated today and have had a hard time getting caught up! SF Popsicles seem to help the most.

Way to go!

I finally woke up enough to post again!:tt2: I slept most of yesterday, but I feel great today! Very little pain. I appreciate all the well wishes, and I hope everyone comes through as easily as I have. I had lots of worry for nothing!

I had my done in Dallas with Dr. Barker. Actually the hospital was in Garland. I thought about going to Texarkana to have it done but the hospital was not in network for my insurance.

Well I started my 2 week pre-op diet yesterday and it was not fun, going cold turkey from eating what you want to drinking 3 slimfast a day. I went to bed last night with my stomach growling like crazy and was so hungry I couldnt fall asleep. But today woke up with a better frame of mind, Im not that hungry today, guess my stomach was just shocked that I didnt feed it when it started growling.....hehe. Have to go to a wedding tonight and not looking forward to all that. Dont mind me guess Im just having a pity party all by my self....well hope every one has a good day!">

So far I can say that the pre op diet was the worst part of the whole process. But after 3 or 4 days even that got easier. Good luck to you on your pre op. It felt so good to tell the doctor that I didn't cheat once! You can do it!

I totally understand having started yesterday too!! I dont envy you having to go to a wedding tonight!! Good luck and bring on day 4!
