Good luck with your surgery. I was really anxious beforehand but really the odds are on your side. If you feel anxious close your eyes and slowly count backwards from 100... really helps calm the nerves.

Hi Carden, good luck with your surgery, all will go well you see & before you know it your going to have a big smile on your face when you start seeing the weight come off

Im too from the UK, im waiting for a date from Derby hospital, ive had my consultation

keep in touch

My surgergy is on August 5th, and I, too, am very nervous. I keep second-guessing whether I'm doing the right thing, but I know in my heart that it is the right thing, because I'm not living a quality life right now because of the weight. Good luck to you, I'm sure it will be fine - we'll get through this!

Thanks for all your replies and messages of support the world feels a lot smaller when you get support from the otherside of the world as well as the UK. You are right we all in it together!

Thank you all you have made me feel positive again!

I know what you're going through. My surgery is scheduled for Aug. 7th. It seems like the days a draaaagging along.

Just try to keep yourself busy. Hang out with friends, or go for walks. It does help. Good luck. I know you'lle be fine.

I was nervous too, even to the point of crying and telling my husband I wanted to leave when they were ready to take me to surgery. But I am so glad he wouldn't let me go,lol. It is worth all this and you can laugh about all this torment later like I am.
