Starting the process...What to expect at consults?

Hi everyone,

New here and just starting the lap band journey.

I have my initial consult with the surgeon on Aug. 5th.

What can I expect at the initial consult?

Then I'll have the psych eval...what is that like?

Thanks for the info!

hello and welcome...My psych exam was really interesting..l had to go twice for my surgery requirements, but l'm actually glad l got to...They go over your life history..its really all about YOU...The nutrition appts were also wonderful and very informative.l also had to go at least twice for that...again, its all about what you eat and how you can improve what you are doing. The whole journey with the lap banding has been awesome, except the denial l got at the end from my insurance carrier...BUT thank goodness, they took another look and now l'm approved..Just waiting for a date...Good luck to you...
