Just Banded

Hello everyone! I just signed up to be apart of this wonderful forum. I was just banded on Wednesday, July 9th, and so far everything is going well! Of course I wish my weight would just fall off now, but I guess I need to be patient!

I am 28 years old, mother of a two year old, and married to a supportive man! I have struggled with my weight since childhood, and I am now on the road to recovery!

The band doesn't do the work for you or choose what we eat. So to do your part I hope you stay around here for the support and pick some sort of exercise you can stick to daily. For me the 10,000 steps a day works and I invested in a pedometer that syncs to my computer (Omorn HJ-720ITC, purchased on Amazon.com) and I can carry around in my pocket and not think much about it. I have to do what works for a real life for me. I'm sure you'll figure out what works for you! Glad your here. Keep us updated!

Thank you melody2006. Walking has also been my primary source of exercise at this point too! Once I loose some weight I might be able to move on to bigger and better things to help in the area of exercize!

I am so excited for this journey! My pre and post op diets have not been a problem! My mind is set, and I am going to kick butt! There is no turning back for me!!!

Jodrae, you've found a great place here for support to keep on track. Being banded in July makes you one of the July 2008 Butterflies!
