  1. Congrats! I was just banded on 7-9-08! I am feeling pretty good too! I just joined this forum, and it has already been helpful! Good luck to you on your journey!
  2. I had the same situation. My primary would not cover a thing. My secondary (through husband) covered 80%. I still had to meet the requirments. Also, they had to submit it through primary first to get the denial letter and then submit through my secondary. It took a few extra days. Hope this helps!
  3. Actually I won't be finishing them up!!! 40 carbs...yikes! Must be for people trying to gain weight!!!! OOPS! I guess I am back to shopping! That could explain my 2 lb weight loss!
  4. maryiam...where can you get that? is it ok to drink?
  5. Thank you everyone for your insights! I just spent 7 bucks for 6 of them, and I bought two packs!!! I will finish them up and then go to GNC probably! Thank you all for you advice! I am glad I didn't buy more than 12!!!
  6. Hello again! I have a question, and I know it has already been answered! I am 5 days post op, and I have been trying different shakes. Today's drink was Milk chocolate Ensure...and it wasn't too bad. It had 9g of Protein in it. How many should I be drinking each day? I can't find how many grams I am to have each day! Thank you for your help. I have been doing really well, but have only lost 2 pounds. From what I know, this is normal! I just want it to magically disappear!! : ) Does anyone know about hard boiled eggs? I love them, and I am not sure when I can eat them! I can mush them down!!! Thank you all for your help! 7. i am also five days post op. i am so sorry to hear about your shake mishaps. i have only been drinking half of mine as well. of course i don't really like it, but i take it one small sip at a time. you might try switching brands. i have been using ensure. i have heard gnc's were really good.

Once I loose some weight I might be able to move on to bigger and better things to help in the area of exercize! I am so excited for this journey! My pre and post op diets have not been a problem! My mind is set, and I am going to kick butt! There is no turning back for me!!!
  10. Hello everyone! I just signed up to be apart of this wonderful forum. I was just banded on Wednesday, July 9th, and so far everything is going well! Of course I wish my weight would just fall off now, but I guess I need to be patient! I am 28 years old, mother of a two year old, and married to a supportive man! I have struggled with my weight since childhood, and I am now on the road to recovery!
