nauseous from shakes...anyone else?

Ok, I am only 5 days post op...but when I drink the protein shakes I feel so nauseous....I never felt like this pre op from them. Am I drinking them too fast? I am trying to sip slowly and do not drink the whole thing at one sitting, I try to do 1/2and 1/2...is anyone else having this problem? It is really bothering me and has happened 3 times since Wednesday....any ideas?

I have the same issue. The ESA and Atkins isn't as bad, but if I mix my own protein drink and use milk I get nausea. I used to drink one every morning and never had a problem. Now I need to eat a little something with it to keep from getting sick.

i am also five days post op. i am so sorry to hear about your shake mishaps. i have only been drinking half of mine as well. of course i don't really like it, but i take it one small sip at a time. you might try switching brands. i have been using ensure. i have heard gnc's were really good.

I had the same problem with the GNC Chocolate Caramel flavored mix but I love their Cookies n Cream mix so I'm sticking with that. You might just try a different brand or flavor. Regarding the milk, I'm using Lactaid milk instead of regular milk and that hasn't given me any problems.
