Hi All,
I have been pursuing the lap band surgery for the past 9 months. I have completed all requirements and attended the first support group meeting just to get an idea of how people are responding to the surgery. Unfortunately, it was a 50 to 5 ratio of pre-op to post-op, but while I gathered some good info, it still hasn't convinced me that this is the right way for me to go. All I know is that I'm 56 years old with an 80 year old looking body and a 30 year old mentality ~~ I have to lose weight and maybe this is my only chance!
Would love to hear from post-op folks - your successes, your challenges, your frustrations.....
It's important to hear it all! Also, for those who have been post-op for several years, it would be interesting to know if at some point, there becomes a time that you can eat "normally" again......
Thanks so much!
