can we take asprin and or pm sleep aid for headaches and problems sleeping while on liquid diet before surgery

I am about a week away and yesterday was my pre-op. They told me I could take tylenol, but to avoid asprin and ibpr. They didnt give me any reasons, but I would call and ask. Good Luck.

I had my pre-op appointment yesterday and the only medications my doctor specifically prohibited were Advil, Aleve, etc. He said to take Tylenol for headaches. I think I would call and ask.

i agree with kathy, give the surgeon's office a quick call. the nurse will be able to answer that.
