I'm here to help...

Great Idea - I will do it right now !!

Hi

I am Janet and I am a recovering food addict :wink2:

I was banded 7/17/07 - My starting weight was 250 - I'm 5'4

Today (just over 10 months out) I am 154 - size 8 pants (was 18/20) Medium tops (was 22/24)

I got banded as I wanted to extend the years that I have left on this planet and to do that I knew that I needed to lose weight.

The band has been the tool I needed. For the first time in my life I have been able to achieve this goal (actually getting to my goal weight)

If you want a buddy - support - help - suggestions - Please feel free to call upon me - I will gladly share my journey with you - the journey is still on going and by helping you I will be helping me (staying motivated and accountable) and then one day you can pay it forward and help someone else.

thanks for the help. I will call tomorrow. I feel pretty good and if this is the only problem then I will be satisfied.

Looking at all these posts are so inspiring. There is truly a light at the end of the tunnel. I am walking a lot and I really do appreciate everyone.

Just found out they took my brother for exploratory surgery to try to figure out what is causing the fluid in his belly. Hoping he does okay and they find something.

Linda

Laura and Meridith, what beautiful ladies you are. Glad you had a good time together.

Merrimish, welcome aboard, keep coming back this is a great thread to learn and for support.

What a wonderful last two days in here in Michigan. It was 85 today. Boy i sure do love it. Set out in the sun this afternoon on my deck. I loved it.

Hey All...MIA for a bit. Janet hit the nail on the head. Evasive...sorry...but not putting it out on the thread. Little stalker girl has been quoting LB posts on FB. Again today....not going to feed the fire. Ooops..guess I just did. Oh well.

Phyll...sounds like a great vacation. Hoping you can get the much needed relief once you get home. Get the ball rolling and push to get that knee done. Maybe have someone take a look at your back? Or, do you think your knee is throwing your back off? Happy you are back and posting.

Merriemish....Yes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel...hang in there....follow your doc's orders. Get up and about and walk as much as you can tolerate. Plan, plan, plan when it comes to meals and exercise. By the time you know it, it will be second nature.

Been making some trips to see FIL...about an hour or more away. He's doing great, flirting with the nurses (suave) and already talking about going south again. He is realizing that even if he cannot drive, he can make a life for himself down in AZ from Oct-May. Lots of offers from (more women than men) to take him here and there. Want him to live life to the fullest. Our dream for him.

Linda...hugs of your DB. Please keep us up to date. Aylah is just so darned cut eating her BF outside.

Eva..got that shed up yet? Good going on the workout/clean-up. BTW....Eva can out-walk most, out-do most when it comes to yard work....pouring concrete, etc. She has done an amazing job on her yard and projects that most men would have hired done.

Laura and Meredith...Awwww....so cute. Fast friends....well...no...most likely friends from the many posts but so nice to see. You guys look great.

That's it for now. Sending the love

Hey Gang, Went to my Dad's house today to hang out around the pool. It was fun but kinda weird. I saw him frenching 2 women within 2 minutes of each other and right infront of the other. I asked my sister which one was he dating and she said don't ask cause I don't get it either. Really weird. Makes me think twice about going over there.

Also 2x's today I about fainted. I was talking with my Dad while we were cleaning things with the Water hose and everything got blurry and I could hear my Dad but I couldn't comprehend him. I checked my Blood pressure, It is a bit lower than what I usually am but not out of bounds. I also had finished half a hot dog about 10 minutes prior so I don't think it was blood sugar related. If it happens again I will be calling the doctor. But I am really baffled by it. Lapbanders aren't dumpers, right?

Also so proud to see all the pictures posted.

Jessica...I don't believe in LP and "dumping syndrome". See your doc.

Jessica, are you taking any blood pressure pills? If so, it may be time to see your doc about coming off (or lowering) them. Apples, is right - see your doc. It isn't right for that to happen.

When I was losing, I passed out. My BP had gotten to low. It was time to come off the meds.

Been sewing all afternoon again....my eyes are going to pop out. I probably have another full day of this stuff before I'm all done.

It was cool and windy today, foggy this morning, and it rained 1/2 inch yesterday.....all day long....it was nice. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 80's.

Great, glad to see you back.

Laura and Meredith, you look fabulous and so happy!! Glad you are having a good time.

Charlene, I need you to come touch my eggplant...it doesn't want to grow...it's alive but just sitting there.

Have a great night everyone...

Eva

Eva....I used Miracle grow soil for vegatables and flowers. It's a Miracle my plants are growing! Sending your eggplant good juju!

I give up replying on the ipad.

Jessica, I was getting dizzy last summer when I walked in the heat. The trainer said that getting that exercising in the heat would caused dizziness if I was on bp meds. I know you weren't exercising, but you might want to go to the doctor and get checked out. I agree with Apples.....I don't think LB causes dumping.

Morning to everyone. Cooler here this morning -- 45 -- lol. Was in the 80s again yesterday but cooled off last night -- we didn't have any storms though -- we were suppoed to but missed them.

DB made it through the surgery but they didn't find anything that would cause the Fluid in the belly. This was kind of a last ditch effort to try to find out what is wrong. They weren't sure he'd even survive the surgery. What good is surviving if no one can figure out how to fix the problem? Not sure what to expect now.

Got my first mosquito bite of the year -- they love me -- I must have the best tasting blood in the world.

Apples, glad to see you posting -- was getting worried. Hope things calm down.

Hope you all have a great Monday -- CBL.

Linda

Good Morning Gang!

Linda, I am glad your DB made it through surgery. How old is he? Praying for him! HUGS for you!

Janet, check out QVC today. The pants on special have a lot of control. I think you would like them. I bought a pair of yoga pants last month. The designer really puts a lot of tummy control in her pants. She also has tummy control tanks in different colors.

Eva, I forgot.....what are you sewing? Cushion covers?

I am getting ready to go for a long walk. I know I need to get back into the gym, but our weather is so nice in the mornings I would rather be outside. Later Peeps!

Oh, Meredith and Laura.....you two girls are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Good morning! At least it stopped snowing and the sun is shining. Think it might hit 60 today. DH is glad he fertilized before all this moisture hit so hopefully we'll have a green lawn soon.

Arlene, I can post from my IPad but can't figure out how to get my font and color. So when you don't see my color you know I was on my Ipad. LOL If you figure that part out let me know. Oh and I think Linda said her bro was 62.

Apples, good to see you posting. Get concerned when you vanish. HOpe the family issues are soon over.

Eva, bet your cushions are going to be so nice!
