Betrayal is a BITCH

OK...here goes nothing. I haven't posted in quite a while because I have been dealing with some real shit at home. A month ago I found out that my husband of almost 10 years has been having an affair for the last year and a half. :mad:That's right...while I was losing weight and looking great, that pig went out seeking an affair and here I was scared of how I would act after I started to get attention from others when I started to look nice. I am hurt:crying:, angry:mad2:, sad , devastated:cursing:, sick and every other emotion (other than happy). I'm now on Xanax for my anxiety and I am completely obsessed with this crap. How can someone go out seeking an affair when they have a wife and two beautiful children? Do people care anymore? Do vows mean anything? What the hell is wrong with people? Of course now all of a sudden he wants the marriage to work. Well damn...you should have thought about that before porking the skank!!!! I want to freaken scream. I want to hurt them both. How the hell do people get on after things like this happen to them? Is it possible? We are in counseling, but should I even bother? Will he do it again? What about my kids? Damn...I need some serious help. This really sucks. I'm tired of crying. I'm tired of the chest pains and the anxiety. I want a fairy tale ended but unfortunately my marriage will NEVER be the same. I can never look at him the same way again. Do I give up and start my life over with my boys? Can someone wake me up from this horribe nightmare????? Why me? In the last year I have gone from a size 22/24 to a size 10/12 and I have lost 106 pounds. I thought that my husband was proud of me and thought that I was looking good...guess not, huh? Joke's on me!!!

I smile all the time now:smile: I just got a text message that says, "Good morning beautiful". I am certainly wearing the perma-smile these days.

Oh, so you got my text?:biggrin:

WOW Tina,

I've read through this entire thread, and I must say you are a very strong woman. It's amazing to read your first posts and compare them to the ones you write now. I know that you went through a horrible time over your ex's affair, and I can't understand anyone questioning you about your actions. I think you have done great just to survive the whole ordeal. What a nightmare! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I had been reading your story and am glad you have survived it so well. Good luck!

Thanks everyone...and Plain...u r too funny!

So...got some good news today...went for a follow-up with my PS...no fluid build up in my back so I don't have to go back for a month...woo hoo...

I hope that the good news continues...I have a meeting with my boss today at 11:45...it's to discuss her selection for the higher paying position in our office that I applied for...if I get the position I will get an $11,000 a year increase in pay...I don't have a good feeling about it but stranger things have happened, huh?

Wish me luck...I'll get back on later and let you guys know...don't hold your breath though...don't have a great feeling about it.

I'll pray that whatever is meant to happen for you will happen. If not this one, then much bigger greatness will be waiting for you.

Good luck Tina! Plain, you are funny, thanks for the chuckle.

Hi Tina,

Any news yet? Inquiring (read: nosy) minds want to know...

Too funny about Plain...

Watch out for those high school guys...my current DH and I went to high school together, and have been married for nearly 19 years now...:)

Have fun!

That's the way it was at my place -- also government. Sorry to hear it, but you're being saved for something much better and greater.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job. That happened to me too not long ago. I'm also government. Gonna start looking for a job when/if my foot ever heals enough to wear real shoes. Right now I'm stuck in running shoes only. I don't think that would go over well in an interview. ha ha

No one but you can you tell you what you should do. Sorry you are going through this, but stay positive you just lost 106 pounds, thats incredible. No one can take that away from you. Personally I'd kick him to the curb and make him suffer a while.

Tina, so sorry you didn't get the job. Isn't that just typical? Hire someone from outside wit hNO experience. Gotta love it! NOT!!! Hang in there and prayers that something better comes along.

And Imart, I have NO idea what you're talking about unless all you did was read the initial post. Go back and read the entire thing before posting. Thanks!

Hi everyone...just wanted to check in and give you guys an update. I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER!!!! :)

I went on vacation last week with my boys. We went to North Carolina and stayed with some relatives. We had a wonderful time...they are on vacation this week with their dad so I'm home by myself.

So...while I was out of town, my ex was at a bar with a chick. My friends happened to be there and saw him...they snapped pics with their cell phone and sent it to me. I laughed...I am sooooo much hotter than her and I was just loving it (I have never said that about myself...lol). The funniest part of it...they were at the bar where my new "friend" does security (he's a bouncer there).

So...my "friend" tells me the following week that he's there again...too funny. I told him...you should kick him out...tell him no a-holes allowed. He said, are you kidding...I want to go thank him for being such an idiot...I wouldn't have you in my life if he wasn't such a loser. I cannot begin to tell you guys just how wonderful this man is...he was married for 13 years and has two children. He's only one year younger than me (there goes my cougar status). He has custody of his children...his wife cheated on him for the last 2 years of their marriage and she left him for her boyfriend. WOW...how much more could we have in common, right? Well...guess what...he's coming to my house tonight and I'm making him dinner. I haven't had a "date" in 14 years. I'm all giddy...Oh...did I mention that he's smokin' hot????

Well...that's the latest on me...I'm on cloud nine right now and loving every single minute of it. I'm enjoying every little aspect of it.

I will continue to keep you guys posted on how I'm doing...without you guys I probably would have been nuts by now. Oh...that reminds me...went to my shrink yesterday and told him that I stopped taking my meds about a month ago and I think I'm doing fine...he agreed and I don't have to go back to him...so...turns out I'm not crazy after all...

Thanks you guys...you all rock!

Ok. So how cool is that? Gotta love a guy who takes custody of his kids. He's a hottie in my book just for that. I am so glad for you. You have been through some real rough sh-- and you deserve some happiness!
