Way to go Ms. Shaunni on your weight loss! Nice to know those fills aren't as bad as those of us who haven't had one yet make them. You are doing GREAT! hope I am able to do as well.

thank you! from reading other bloggers reactions to the fills, i was scared, but the worst part was when my dr numbed the area, and that was just a sting, like a normal shot. I didn't even feel the actual fill, and it was over soooo fast. lol

Hi Shaunni,

I got my first fill as well and it wasn't at all what i expected. It was so quick, and easy. I am so glad to be restricted as well. How long are you on liquids after the fill. I am on for two weeks. 2.3 fill.

Good luck!

I think I have my first fill at lunchtime tomorrow. I have a follow-up visit at Dr. Marsden's Argyle office, and I just realized that I forgot to ask any questions ahead of time! :)

Since it's been a month since I got banded, will I automatically get a fill at this appointment, or will I have to have a separate one later?

Should I eat breakfast or lunch since the appointment is at 1:30?

What if I haven't lost any weight? I think I'm retaining water.

What should I wear? (Pants or skirt waistbands sit right on my port.)

Will I have any trouble driving about 30 miles back to Plano?

Advice please.

I just had to do full liquids for 24 hours then slowly get back to solids...I have been trying things today and I haven't had any problems at all....But I still chew really well!

If it has been a month, you might get your fill at this visit, though I had to wait 6 weeks. You can eat normally, as it won't affect the fill. You can wear whatever you want. You will just have to raise your shirt so the dr can get to the port. Why do you think you haven't lost weight? Since we can't eat like we used to, I'm sure you have lost something. And, no, you won't have any trouble driving. Really, I'm telling you the fill is nothing...lol....the worst part is a little sting when they deaden the area, but I PROMISE you, it's not bad at all. It doesn't take 5 minutes. I went shopping right after mine....
