That weird stage between solid foods and the first fill...

:rolleyes2:

I have a week between my solid food graduation and my first fill.

Can I eat whatever I want?

(3 weeks out of surgery)...

Right now, nothing bothers me and I'm loving my band. Lost a lot of weight and I'm having no problem sticking to the diet! It's actually fun to have everyone tell me how great I look!

My only complaint is: all my clothes are loose and don't fit anymore :-( Poor me.

Okay, anyway, here's my question:

I am dieing for Olive Garden and I was just wondering that AFTER solids but BEFORE the band, can I eat pretty much anything, or will I hurl?

... keep in mind, my weight loss journey begins after the first fill. I'm not going to starve myself... isn't that the whole point of this crazy little piece of plastic?

So, what could YOU eat in that middle-phase?

Hi,I think is different for everyone but I have preety much been eating whatever I want (except no steak) I actually choked on turkey, but if you eat slow and chew very well you should be ok. I had my first fill today and was disappointed that I still don't feel any restriction. I guess it is going to be a slow process.

I was banded on 3/4 and got my first fill on 4/9. I can eat everything I used to eat still, but I am sticking to proteins first and much smaller portions. I just refuse to let myself eat like I used to. I am down a total of 31 lbs (16 pre op and 15 post op) and want to keep on going. I stick to a rule of eating about 1/2 of what I order if I go out to eat and much smaller portions of healthier foods when I'm at home. The only things my Drs office said no to is steak and fresh vegetables. Otherwise, it is up to me to make the right choices. Hope this helps! Good luck!
