  1. Hi,I think is different for everyone but I have preety much been eating whatever I want (except no steak) I actually choked on turkey, but if you eat slow and chew very well you should be ok. I had my first fill today and was disappointed that I still don't feel any restriction. I guess it is going to be a slow process.
  2. You know what, I too was hungry and I talked to doc and we decided I could have some yogurt, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, mushies, pudding and I was fine just don't eat fast and throw up eat to fast or too chunkie it is very painful and you may throw up so be cautios but don't beat yourself up because you are hungry and people should mind their manners and try to be supportive instead of judging, Karma is a very bad thing ya know?
  3. I have not had my first fill yet, your post gives me hope that this will work if done right and I didn't go through all this for nothing. Thank You
  4. just wait you will curse the burping if you are like me alot of burping.
  5. Hey do these fills hurt? I haven't had one yet, I hope I feel more restrictions as I don't really feel any now.
  6. I would think all your problems will only help make the surgery evan more important.
  7. I don't want to appear stupid but I am curious, if you eat a piece of meat (very tender) and you chew it alot and don't throw up how is that going to have any effect on the band. I know throwing up will move it but just uneventful eating is beyond me how that will adjust it???
  8. I do the same exact thing except when I eat this in the morning I noticed I am so hungry all day.
  9. I am two weeks post op I went to the doctors last week I told him I was hungry he said eat just put it in the food processor and make it kinda mushy it is really good. Also scrambled eggs and cream of wheat.
  10. I don't understand what everyone is talking about, I take pills I don't but I could eat whatever is there something wrong with mine? Other then the incisions I don't feel all that different and get hungry all the time. I have not lost weight yet.Am I some kind of freak????
  11. Go Girl!!!!!!Talk to us tomarow let us know how it was.
  12. Thats great I am excited for you.I was banded a two weeks ago and I love it so far it's not near as tragic as I thought it was going to be.I am allready eating food I put it in the processor and make it mushie but so far no nausea no problem eating feeling great.I will get my first fill in a couple of weeks and I can't wait.Don't be scared and don't fight it. Good Luck.
  13. I too had a doctor that said all I had to do is walk more,I got a new doctor.Who wants such a narrow minded unintouch dr.My new doc is very fit and thin and also the one who suggested the lap band.Ant doc that has your docs attitude should not be treating obese patients.
  14. Hi, I had my surgery a week and a half ago.I have been through a whole gammet of emotions, first like you I was terrified of giving up food then after surgery all kinds of second thoughts.Look we are doing this for a reason don't lose sight of it if you don't do it you will just be back wishing you could have it when you can't lose weight next year.I am allready eating mushie food which is like mashed potatoes and real mashed up meatloaf because I get hungry in a couple of weeks I get a fill and pretty soon I will be eating like everyone else just not as much look if I go out to dinner I will bring home a doggie bag and finish it later so what. Hey, chin up and always remember before long it will be back to normal for you just with alot more control. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!:sneaky:
